Building CommUNITY: Vision & Hearing Inclusion
North Iowa businesses have an opportunity to create more inclusive, accessible workplaces by gaining a deeper understanding of hearing and vision impairments.
This Building CommUNITY session will feature two guest speakers with expertise in their fields. Dr. Jesse O. Bolinger will lead a discussion on service animals and their critical role in supporting individuals with visual impairments. In addition, Dr. Tanya Harper Rowe, and audiologist from Hearing Associates will provide insight into hearing impairments and ways to improve communication and accessibility in the workplace.
Attendees will leave with practical knowledge and strategies to better support individuals with sensory disabilities—both as employees and customers.
There is no charge to attend, but registration is required.
